Catholic Charities of Louisville is the social-service arm of the Archdiocese of Louisville. We provide help and create hope for the poor and vulnerable through a wide range of programs, assisting clients of all races, backgrounds and beliefs. 

SALARY: $45,000/annual

The Business Manager at Sister Visitor Center is primarily responsible for administrative and clerical tasks related to assessing clients' eligibility for services and helping them regain stability by responding to their crisis, including approving financial and/or case management appointments with the SVC case management staff, or referring them to appropriate community resources. This position will oversee the management and disbursement of emergency assistance funds, including maintaining continuous balance reconciliation and developing/submitting reports to funders. Additionally, the Business Manager is expected to be familiar with all program services and operations related to meeting client needs and must be skilled at providing direct client services and providing coverage of those program roles. This position will also assist in the organization and tracking of seasonal special events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:
1. Prepare, review, edit and oversee the Emergency Financial Assistance (EFA) data to support the EFA program, including managing monthly requests and creating digital forms and Excel spreadsheets to capture requests and demonstrate community needs.
2. Effectively screen and triage client service requests to appropriately make internal referrals and support participants.
3. Schedule clients for case management and financial appointments.
4. Assist case managers and front desk staff with daily operations and provide direct services or other coverage as needed.
5. Coordinate payment of all SVC emergency financial assistance pledges and requests. Work cooperatively with the Finance Department to efficiently disburse available funds.
6. Oversee and monitor tracking systems to ensure accurate financial payments and reporting. Maintain records accordingly.
7. Maintain continuous balance reconciliation to monitor remaining funds available for pledges and authorize weekly EFA appointment schedule based on available balances.
8. Manage necessary filing, reporting, and communication support to external funding individuals, agencies, and contacts.
9. Collaborate, organize and track client participation and data collection for seasonal special events.
10. Build relationships with community partners and develop/maintain an accurate record of new and existing partners and contacts.
11. Other tasks as assigned by the Director.
Education Requirements (Any)
Bachelors degree in social services field is preferred but not required.

Bachelor’s degree and social services experience preferred, or at least 2 years of social services administration and direct client service experience is required.

• Detail oriented, reliable, highly organized, and professional demeanor
• Must be self-motivated, require minimal supervision and able to work well in a team environment across multiple departments
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills as well as the ability to engage appropriate etiquette with both internal and external contacts
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, filing, and follow-up skills
• Must be Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Office Mail, internet, and overall computer skills
