Program Description:
 
The primary focus of our IPS Supported Employment program is on competitive employment for adults with serious mental illness. We strongly believe that recovery and employment go hand in hand. To accomplish this, we utilize the evidence based IPS supported employment model to help people with serious mental illness find and maintain competitive employment of their choice. Through collaboration with the Wellspring treatment team, community partners, Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, and the support of friends and family, we strive to individualize the support we provide for our clients.

Job Skills / Requirements:

The IPS supervisor is responsible for overseeing the IPS supported employment program. Ensures good program outcomes by providing training, supervision, and by working side-by-side with employment specialists (field mentoring). Monitors outcomes and implements quality improvement plans. Acts as a liaison to other departments and agencies such as the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, KY APSE, KY IPS, referring agencies, and other community partners as needed. Supervises up to ten employment specialists. Provides IPS supported employment services for a caseload of up to 10 clients.

Desired Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling, social services, or related field is preferred. Previous experience in the mental health field is desired. Previous supervisory experience is valued. Desire to work with diverse populations and individuals with disabilities. Commitment to promoting equity and social justice. Knowledge of surrounding community and businesses is a plus. The ability to work as an effective team member is essential. Self-starters and those willing to take initiative are strongly desired. Successful candidates must be able to work effectively in a variety of environments and with a variety of individuals including clients, employers, and other community stakeholders. Proficient in maintaining thorough, timely, and detailed documentation. Experience with job coaching and/or mental illness services will be given preference. A belief in recovery and opportunities for all people is a requirement.

Driver’s License required. Personal vehicle required.

Location: In office, remote, and in the field.


Education Requirements (Any)
BA or BS Degree
*BA/BS in psychology
social work or related field and at least one year post Bachelor's working full-time with adults with SMI
Prior experience in a similar position preferred
