Job Summary:  Responsible for the care and handwashing of utensils, materials and equipment used for JCC programs and special events

Duties/Responsibilities/Functions/Tasks:

  • Clean all kitchen items including machine, walls and floors
  • Responsible for emptying trash receptacles, cleaning floors, walls and
  • Gathers items from the work areas and kitchen for disposal or washing
  • Continually maintains and organized efficient work area, including small ware
  • Scrapes food from dirty dishes and places them in racks
  • Hand wash as needed in three compartment sink
  • Washes worktables, walls, and work areas
  • Picks up, segregates and bags trash and garbage and removes all trash and rubbish to designated areas
  • Responsible to set up dishwashing and pot sink area for service
  • Responsible to maintain weekly cleaning schedule
  • Responsible to dispose of trash, boxes, cans and bottles in their proper receptacles
  • Responsible to sweep and mop kitchen floor, walk-in refrigerators and tile area in dining room
  • Responsible for light prep and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work under the direction of the Chefs
  • Hand coordination and dexterity for rapid production
  • Demonstrated ability to work at a fast pace while standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to stand and walk for entire length of shift

Pay: $15 Per Hour based on experience.

Hours: 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with other days/hours available as needed.
