Located in Danville, KY, the historic, picturesque 150-acre campus is 30 miles from Lexington, in the famed Bluegrass Region of Central Kentucky.


The Assistant Director of Campus Activities for Greek Life has responsibility for advising the Fraternity & Sorority Councils and Chapter Support.  They are a member of the Student Life staff team under the direction of the Director of Student Activities and Greek Life. 

Essential Job Functions:  Fraternity and Sorority Life Support

  • Advise eleven inter/national chapters;
  • Advise Order of Omega and Gamma Sigma Alpha honoraria’s;
  • Advise the Panhellenic and Interfraternity Councils
  • Oversee Greek Accreditation program for Chapter Recognition
  • Administer College policies, procedures, and guidelines that apply to campus organizations and event management; 

Combs Warehouse Management

  • Oversee the management of the Combs Warehouse event space including facilities requests and operations.
  • Oversee space reservation process for some Student Life managed spaces.
  • Plan and implement select campus events and activities.

 

Other Student Life Duties:

  • Oversee shuttle program for students’ arrival and departure for campus breaks.
  • Participate in Student Life staff meetings, regular individual meetings with supervisors, and the annual Student Life staff retreat.
  • Assist on special projects; participate as a team member in all aspects of Student Life.
  • Appreciation of, a sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of many social, economic, cultural, ideological, racial and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the department by performing all other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education

  • Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel, Counseling, or related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Demonstrates an appreciation of and commitment to further an inclusive culture for those of diverse backgrounds such as ability, age, class, ethnicity, faith background, gender expression, gender identity, geographic region, national origin, neurodiversity, race, and sexual orientation that comprise individual and group expressions of identity.
  • Willing to work flexible schedule, which will include evening and weekend hours as required to meet with student organizations and to facilitate activities;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, organization skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks;
  • Knowledge of NIC and NPC structures and policies; 

Physical Requirements:

Limited pushing, pulling, lifting.  Lifting would not exceed 20 lbs. Mobility on campus necessary.
