Job Summary/Purpose
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for the receipt, verification, and distribution of all inbound supplies and equipment. This role ensures timely and accurate data entry, inventory tracking, and supports departmental cleanliness and organization.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
· Receive and inspect incoming shipments; verify documentation.
· Enter received items into inventory system.
· Unpack, shelve, and deliver supplies throughout the facility.
· Perform physical inventory counts and update order sheets.
· Maintain department cleanliness and assist with daily wheelchair checks.
· Support office supply requisitions, FedEx labeling, and backup inventory duties.
Role Minimum Qualifications
Required Education
· High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Ability to create a friendly, cooperative atmosphere for staff members.
· Exhibits excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Computer knowledge and keyboarding experience.
· Follows proper departmental and hospital procedures.
· Ability to work in a busy, physical, and demanding environment.
· Ability to multitask and must be detail oriented.
· Flexible and innovative.
· Familiarity with medical terminology.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in inventory control, supply chain, or a related field—such as warehouse, logistics, or hospital materials handling.
