Job Summary/Purpose
Follow instructions and completes assignments for the betterment and overall upkeep of HMH. Responsible for performing preventative maintenance, maintaining, and repairing equipment, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and maintaining overall maintenance of company property/grounds as directed. Will be subject to hold over or recall for essential services & emergencies such as weather-related events, (snow, rain, ice, winds, etc.)
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
· Functions in an independent manner to complete necessary repairs and preventative maintenance
· Displays attention to detail as it relates to digital capture, storage, and handling of department information
· Participates in the coordination of HMH grounds/affiliated properties to ensure daily maintenance is timely and efficient.
· Maintains physical integrity of property and equipment
· Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies, including but not limited to Federal, State, Local and Joint Commission standards
· Monitors the HMH work order system for outstanding tasks and supports functions to ensure all outstanding tasks are resolved promptly
· Demonstrates knowledge, skills and ability to safely and efficiently use equipment
· Maintains, installs repairs and troubleshoots machinery and equipment as needed to complete assignments
· Provides guidance/ assistance to contractors and suppliers as necessary
· Understands the importance of digital capture, storage, and handling of department information
· Facilitates the removal of snow, ice, and debris from Engineering controlled areas based on seasonality. Responds promptly as called for Snow Removal
· Use the CMMS system to increase departmental productivity
· Demonstrates knowledge and performance of preventative maintenance processes
· Assists with risk assessments
· Recognizes and requests pre-construction assessment (PCRA) and works with department staff to create infection control risk assessments (ICRA)
·Inspects, maintains, and preforms preventative maintenance on equipment as scheduled
·Maintains cleanliness and organization of work area/department workspaces
·Performs deliveries and part runs as assigned.
·Completes necessary training and in-service needs within the department
·Supports a collaborative work environment to troubleshoot/solve technical issues
· Completes reports and documentation to support regulation compliance
·Supports staff for incident command per Emergency Management Plan
·Maintains confidentiality
·Meets the 1-hour onsite callback time.
Role Minimum Qualifications
Required Education
· High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
·Must meet a 1-hour onsite callback time
·Must have a valid driver’s license.
·Ability to manage multiple projects.
·Must have electrical knowledge- troubleshooting of basic electrical circuits preferred.
·Must have basic computer skills and knowledge.
·Use correct grammar, spelling and punctuation in duties performed.
·Performs basic mathematical calculations.
·Follow written and oral instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
·One year of maintenance/job related experience, preferably progressive in responsibility preferred.
